@alecm Classic strategy so often employed by right-wing factions that take over nominally centre-left parties – do the things that are disastrously unpopular with your own party’s voter base, trying to chase the votes of those who aren’t ever going to vote for you anyway… Lose-lose scenario, but as long as you are sticking it to the left-wing factions… But the real loss is to those in the electorate who just want to see good policy make the world better.
