I know it’s petty schadenfreude but I’ve been hanging out on the RCS subreddits where they spend vast amounts of time dissing “over the top” end to end encrypted “big tech” messenger software, awaiting their protocol Messiah that will liberate them from capitalism … only for the cracks beginning to show regarding local regulation and deployment.
The self deception is strong:
Carriers and Google do not want our shit messages. A.I. has little to learn other than how we butcher our language and E2EE allows them to shrug their shoulders to message subpoenas from the government and reduce bad publicity.
