Protectionism through Safetyism. I’m betting that this is what the guy thought when he suggested Bluesky were somehow legally obliged to provide a European POC:

It's this: from 13 December, every product sold in the EU needs a named "point of contact" *within an EU country*, printed on the packaging. Since the UK isn't in the EU any more, no mainland UK address will do. For small businesses, that's game over.
