I remember Ello — it really needs to be spelled in Courier — quite intently; the schtick — “Facebook Killer” — was obviously going to doom it from the outset because any app which people describe primarily as being in opposition to something successful, is clearly going to have issues… but I didn’t know how deep the rot went.

I’m amazed it lived so long.
