Elizabeth Puchnarewicz, 1964 – 2003

August 2005 Update: I’ve noticed that this page gets a lot of hits via Google; if you’re looking for marginally more information about Liz, please feel free to mail me at the address in the sidebar.

So, someone you really like, keep in occasional touch with, you wonder why they’ve not mailed you in a longish while, and then Google tells you that they’re dead.

(sigh)

Goodbye, Pookie.

At least Alice did you proud. [www.blackwellpublishing.com]

Edit: The tragedy is that this is not the first time this has happened; it’s also how I found out about what happened to Yossi – though whether this is a reflection upon me and my wide but consequently tenuous social web, or whether it is an aspect of something to be expected in the modern age, is a matter that makes me wonder.

But still… damn…

Hello Stefan, I think you are the grandson of Anna Puchnarewicz (she was married to Michael P) and your father’s name was Alexander? And your brother’s name is Ivan? Am I right? If not, than please ignore my mail. Groeten van A. Lincewicz.

I would like to contact any members of E.Puchnarewicz family. I am trying to find out if we are related as the surname is not very common.

I have only just seen your message. Yes I am the grandson of Anna, son of Alexander.
Please get in touch. Interesting to hear from a Lincewicz

    Hi Stefan,

Anna was my aunt (my father’s sister), your father my cousin.
How do i get in touch in private?
Maybe alecm wants to mail me your mailaddress or he can give you mine?

    Greetings, Annaliese.

Stefan- I don’t know if you remember me- I dated your sister in the 80s. We had got back in touch via email briefly in 2002 (I live in the US now) and I was very sad to hear later that she had died.

I recently found a whole bunch of photographs of Liz from when we dated (you may remember I was a bit of a photogeek then) and thought that perhaps her daughter might like to have them.

I have emailed alecm with a few more details and hope that he will forward my email to you and that you will get in touch.
